## Polytopal Complexes

A polytopal complex *C* is a collection of convex
polytopes (called "cells") in *R*^{d} such that
each face of a cell is also contained in *C* and such
that the intersection of any two cells is again a cell.
Simplicial complexes are a special case, and regular
CW-complexes are more general.
